The Friends of the Baron-Forness Library will hold a Fall Social, "Dinner and a Book" on Wednesday, October 29, 5:00 p.m., at Van Houten South Dining Hall. All members of the University community are invited to enjoy a bountiful dinner buffet, participate in a free book raffle, and listen to a talk by Rena Tran, publisher and editor of
Erie Life
Magazine. Her talk, titled "Why Magazines Matter," will cover the challenges and realities of magazine publishing in the age of instant communication, corporate media moguls, recession and Xbox.
